In the area of a ride at the Moerser Kirmes (near Klever Straße) on Saturday evening around 8.30 p.m., a female sprayed pepper spray, apparently for no reason.
The irritant caused several visitors to the fair to suffer minor irritation to their eyes and respiratory organs.
Six affected people were treated by paramedics present and were then able to be picked up by their parents or leave the fairgrounds independently.
Four people were taken to a Krefeld eye clinic for treatment. The victims are between the ages of 14 and 22 from the towns/municipalities of Moers, Neukirchen-Vluyn, Sonsbeck, Remscheid and Rheinberg.
The female person is described as follows:
- Approximately 15 years old,
- 170 cm tall, dark blonde long hair,
- dressed in jeans and a dark green/black jacket.
Witnesses and other victims are asked to contact the police in Moers on 02841-1710.
