Documentary “Conspiracy Worlds”: The third and final part of the documentary with Mimikama will be broadcast on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at 10:10 p.m.
The final episode of the three-part documentary series “Conspiracy Worlds” by David Moya and Erika Otto looks at the so-called QAnon movement.
Mimikama is of course back in the documentary. We have been witnessing a global rise of radical movements for some time now. In particular, the attempted storming of the Capitol in Washington after the 2020 US presidential election showed that established democratic rules of the game can no longer be taken for granted.
Conspiracy worlds: QAnon and the pandemic
The corona pandemic has accelerated the already existing radicalization online.
The so-called QAnon movement was able to gain particularly many new followers. Originally from the USA, it is now convincing more and more people in Europe of the idea that there is a satanic elite that drinks children's blood and a “deep state”. In the fight against these conspiracies, former US President Donald Trump is seen as a savior. In the third and final episode of the three-part documentary, the film-author duo David Moya and Erika Otto follow the founder of the Telegram channel “QAnon Austria” and ask themselves whether QAnon's conspiracy narratives can cause attacks and terrorist attacks in the future .
Broadcast dates are January 26th at 10:10 p.m. and January 27th at 11:15 a.m. (repeat).
