An actually serious video that seems so unintentionally funny that you could almost suspect a deepfake: Do you have to salute or put your hand on your heart?

Every year on May 9th, the “Day of Remembrance and Honor” is celebrated . That day is a reminder of the end of the Second World War, so it is a rather serious matter. The confusion of some generals, who could not agree on whether to place a hand on the heart or salute when playing the national anthem, seems all the more unintentionally funny.

While the governor Gofurjon Mirzaev (in the foreground) holds his hand on his heart, the generals behind him are confused: Do they also have to put their hand on their heart or salute?

The correct thing is: salute!

As the Uzbek site “repost” ( see HERE ) explains, Gofurjon Mirzaev behaves correctly: according to the rules for civilians, the hand is placed on the heart when the national anthem is played.

However, military personnel who are also wearing their uniform are obliged to put their hand on their headgear during the national anthem - which all generals agreed to at the end of the video.
