First video: Cathedral Mosque in Moscow
The first video shows the Cathedral Mosque in Moscow. A search on Google Street View confirms the location. The video is older than claimed and was shared in April 2023. It shows the Sugar Festival, which marks the end of Lent for Muslims.

Second video: Saint Petersburg Mosque
The second video also comes from Russia and shows the Saint Petersburg Mosque. A check using Google Street View confirms this. This video was also recorded and uploaded before November 11, 2023 and shows Muslim prayers on the occasion of the Sugar Festival in 2019.

Incorrect contextualization


The videos were falsely presented in the context of the conflict between Israel and Hamas. There is no evidence that they show pro-Palestinian rallies. The claims on social media are therefore misleading and false.
