Lippe – In the Lippe district, too, the police are currently noticing an increasing number of so-called “Microsoft support calls”.

Citizens of Lippe are asked in English to allow maintenance access to their own computers so that allegedly existing malware can be removed. After the computer has ostensibly been cleaned, an invoice is then issued and displayed immediately on the monitor.

However, the amounts actually debited are significantly higher than initially stated. Warnings are given about these calls. Microsoft does not control your PCs and does not call you unsolicited.

The callers are scammers!

Do not allow third-party access to your computer and do not reveal any personal, bank or credit card details.
