Lübeck – On Friday afternoon (August 18th), police officers from Ratekau searched an address within the community based on a court order.
Witnesses had come forward and reported that a young man was possibly in possession of weapons.
A large number of weapon-like items were found and confiscated. Witnesses had contacted the officers and reported their fear that a 25-year-old was in possession of weapons.
The Lübeck public prosecutor then obtained a search warrant for the apartment. On Friday, over 20 items were seized.
These include various knives, swords, pistols, a bazooka, a style hand grenade and more. The seized items are now being checked by officials from the Schleswig-Holstein State Criminal Police Office to determine their legal classification.
