Due to current events, the Siegen utility companies are warning about fraudulent calls in the region.After the person called has answered, there is a recorded message asking you to press “1” if you do not want the price of electricity and gas to increase by 18%.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to determine who is behind these calls. The Siegen utilities expressly point out that these calls are in no way related to the local supplier and also call on all their customers in the region to be careful. “If you receive a call like this, it’s best to just hang up immediately. If you can see the caller number on the phone display, please write it down if possible and let us know so that we can investigate the matter further,” says Peter Weil from Siegener Utilities.
