Hagen - On Monday afternoon, an employee at a bank in downtown Hagen noticed that an ATM had been tampered with. Unknown people had attached a silver-colored strip to the distribution slot over the weekend.

The purpose of this device is to ensure that the requested amount of money is not completely pushed out and the electronics report a malfunction. The customer leaves the bank lobby and the money stored behind the bar is taken by a perpetrator. So far, no victims have contacted the police. For information relating to money trapping, often referred to as “cash trapping”, please call 986 2066.
