Not a fake: Saarland is the first federal state in Germany to introduce an advertising ban for certain products. The reason for this is corona measures.

This measure to contain the coronavirus is unexpected. This is an advertising ban. This ban is about not advertising certain goods and promotions so that there are no crowds while shopping.

We know this problem in Austria: Large furniture stores have offered large discounts to ensure that the stores are full of people during the easing phases of the Corona measures. That caused a lot of criticism .

The advertising ban in Saarland extends to products that are not part of everyday needs. This ban comes into effect on February 22nd. Violations can result in fines of between 1,000 and 10,000 euros.
