Especially in winter, many households struggle with mold due to the temperature differences inside and outside.

The humidity in all rooms should be reduced to values between 40 and 60 percent. This can be measured using a hygrometer.
In principle, if mold occurs, the property manager or landlord must be informed. The German Tenants' Association warns: "Tenants who do not report defects or damage in the apartment may be liable for damages if the damage becomes even greater as a result of their inaction."
