And it happened again: the old FAKE (YES, damn it, it's a FAKE!) would be brewed again and published: Wiener Wohnen would supposedly ask that pork only be processed with the windows closed.
In mid-November 2015 we reported for the first time about an alleged letter from the City of Vienna / Wiener Wohnen. And now we are receiving inquiries about this letter as it was posted again in a group today, May 6, 2016. This letter is about an alleged request for consideration and a ban on preparing pork with the window open!
This is a fake! The letter in detail:
With this letter, a lie was once again spread on social networks; we contacted “Wiener Wohnen” directly at the time, both in writing and by telephone.
The letter, which allegedly dates from August 2015, was improperly issued under an unknown author in the name of the City of Vienna – Wiener Wohnen.
This says:
Out of consideration and in the spirit of understanding and tolerant cooperation, we ask you to be considerate of other tenants in your apartment building and their religious customs, requirements and needs and to keep the windows closed when processing and preparing pork.
To make it very clear again: this letter is a fake and the name “Wiener Wohnen”, as well as the letterhead and addresses, are being misused here! In addition, dear friends of brass music, Muslims don't care AT ALL whether windows are open or closed and whether something is sizzling in any kitchen. This hatred of Islam is now annoying. You don't have to like Islam, but that doesn't legitimize lying.

A dubious letter is currently circulating on Facebook, according to which Wiener Wohnen asks its tenants to only prepare pork with the windows closed.
We would like to make it clear: This is a fake! This letter was neither written by Wiener Wohnen nor does Wiener Wohnen identify itself in any way with its content. We are in the process of investigating the originator of this fake and, if necessary, taking legal action.
