But what is the picture about?
Previously only something for “rockers and prison inmates”, today a fashion accessory: the tattoo. And this isn't the first time we've seen the picture we're talking about, no, not really!
We've already seen it on Facebook in status updates like the one below, which has been shared over 700,000:
The status post there reads:
“Share this so we can find this asshole”
So share to find the man. You don't learn anything more about the picture, neither the place nor the time.

This image is one of the internet's longest-lasting myths, having been circulating since 2006!

Let's just zoom in a little closer:

According to a user on the image community "Reddit", it is a picture of a "Bring your kid to work day" in which a tattoo artist was just demonstrating to his son what he had been doing all day make day. But this has not been further confirmed.
The child naturally reacts fearfully to the humming of the tattoo gun.
Even though tattooing of babies and small children unfortunately does happen (see also our article: Forced tattoo for children ), we can say with some certainty that no real tattoo was carried out here.
