Hanover - On the night of Tuesday, February 14, 2017, unknown persons slashed the tarpaulin of a truck semi-trailer at the “Lehrter See Nord” rest stop on the Federal Motorway (BAB) 2 (Lehrte district) and stole several e-bikes.

According to previous findings, the 40-year-old driver, who was driving his semi-trailer on the BAB 2 towards Dortmund, stopped in the parking lot of the rest area around 11 p.m. and went to sleep.

When he wanted to continue his journey on Tuesday morning, around 9:00 a.m., he not only discovered that the curtainsider trailer was slashed, but also that the load was missing. Previously unknown thieves stole 29 “Victoria e Trekking” e-bikes packed in boxes with a total value of around 60,000 euros.
