Neustadt – Glewe: A standard water pump pliers hit a moving car near Neustadt-Glewe on Tuesday and damaged its windshield. The driver escaped in shock.
The incident occurred at around 9:50 a.m. on state road 073 shortly before the entrance to Neustadt-Glewe coming from Ludwigslust. According to the 43-year-old driver, she suddenly saw a flying object coming towards her on the left front and initially believed it was a bird. Suddenly the object hit the lower part of the windshield and pierced it. The woman initially drove on and noticed the damage a little later in Neustadt-Glewe. As it turned out, part of the water pump pliers was stuck in the VW's dashboard. According to the affected driver, she did not notice anyone on the side of the road at the time of the incident. It is currently completely unclear where the silver-colored pliers came from and under what circumstances they could hit the car. The police seized the water pump pliers, which were approximately 25 centimeters long (when closed), and will now examine them forensically.
