Hanover: On Friday evening, February 3, 2017, around 9:00 p.m., an unknown man raped a 38-year-old woman in the entrance area of the “Gretchen” beer garden on the banks of the Ihme near the Faust area.
According to previous investigations, the woman was walking along the banks of the Ihme towards the kitchen garden when the man approached her and offered her drugs. After she declined, he ran next to her and suddenly pulled her into the entrance area of the “Gretchen” beer garden. There he raped his victim. The perpetrator then fled towards Wilhelm-Bluhm-Straße.
The person being sought is around 25 to 30 years old, around 1.65 to 1.70 meters tall and dark-skinned, presumably African in appearance. He speaks broken German with an accent. The man was dressed in dark clothing and wore a dark wool hat.
