Call for witnesses after a child was shot at a playground in Hamburg-Langenhorn, time of crime: July 23, 2016, 5:00 p.m. Crime scene: Hamburg-Langenhorn, Alsterberg
The Hamburg police are looking for a perpetrator who probably shot a playing child (13) with an air gun yesterday afternoon. The homicide squad (LKA 41) has started the investigation.
The boy was on a playground at the time of the crime when he suddenly started crying, lay down on the ground and drew other people's attention to him.
They then discovered a bleeding injury on the boy's upper body and immediately called the emergency doctor, who diagnosed a gunshot wound. The 13-year-old was taken to a hospital and treated there.
There is no danger to life. Witness interviews at the scene revealed that none of the people present heard or witnessed a gunshot being fired.
The Hamburg police are therefore asking people who have made observations at or near the crime scene or who can provide relevant information to contact the liaison office at the State Criminal Police Office on 4286-56789 or any other police station.
