An image is now being shared on social media that purports to show a baby being rescued from rubble after 128 hours. Note: This is not a fake!

Only two months old, but fought for survival for 128 hours!

According to a media report by the state-run Turkish news agency Anadolu, the baby was rescued alive from the rubble of the devastating earthquake in the eastern Turkish province of Hatay after more than five days and was then taken to a hospital.

The name of the baby or its parents are currently unknown.

Despite the critical 72-hour window for rescuing those buried in the area, survivors continue to be found under the rubble of the disaster region in the Turkish-Syrian border area. The official death toll has now reached over 30,000, but the UN expects that number to rise to at least 50,000.
